About Me

Hi there! I'm Fiona, the maker behind Fiona's Pottery. I am 26 years old and currently living in East Texas with my cats and my husband. We moved from Vista, CA at the end of 2025 and closed my home studio. Now I am working at a community studio here in ETX where I am making new pots slowly but surely and teaching lessons.

I first touched clay back in 2017 during my senior year of high school. Ceramics was my last class of the day and I quickly fell in love, although it didn't come naturally. I borrowed the school wheel the summer after graduation and the following summer as well. The summer of 2019 I had to completely relearn how to make pottery because all the muscle memory left the year I took off. After the summer ended I purchased my own wheel and continued making as a hobby so I wouldn't forget clay again.... then the pandemic hit. I no longer worked as a nanny and luckily had a wheel at home and some clay.

In May of 2020 I purchased a kiln and started making with the intention of starting a business. I did my first market in November of 2020 and haven't stopped since! I mainly make functional dinnerware and I like to sew as a hobby as well. I hope to stock the website with handmade pots, aprons and other handmade items.
